Grace Davis (Tracee Ellis Ross) is a superstar, a music legend who lives in the city of Los Angeles. Maggie (Dakota Johnson), her stressed-out personal assistant whom Grace barely pays attention to beyond running her errands, secretly combines this job with her dream of being a music producer. When Grace’s manager (Ice Cube) tries to turn her career around, more in line with her age, the popular singer will want to produce a new album. Both Grace and Maggie will have to make a decision that will change their lives forever.
